Dakar, April 12 (APS) – The appeal of the Head of State, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, to civil servants and agents of the State whom he invites to “embody the principles of righteousness, probity and exemplarity” is widely commented on by the daily newspapers received on Friday at the Senegalese Press Agency (APS).
Le Soleil announces that in a letter addressed to officials of the Senegalese administration, the President of the Republic Bassirou Diomaye Faye calls on them to “embody the principles of jub, jubal and jubanti (righteousness, probity and exemplarity) to build a Senegal prosperous”.
”Diomaye sets the course”, headline Libération.
Le Quotidien underlines that ”to establish virtuous governance, Bassirou Diomaye Faye is counting on the support of administration agents”.
”In a letter, the President of the Republic invited them to fully embody the principles of righteousness, probity and exemplarity,” reports the publication.
According to Vox Populi, ”Diomaye sets a code of ‘conduct’ for administration agents”. He wants “righteousness, probity and exemplarity to govern each of (their) acts”.
L’Info also echoes ”Bassirou Diomaye Faye’s appeal to civil servants”. The Head of State wants their daily work to be imbued with this ”permanent concern for the common good where service to our fellow citizens and their well-being take precedence over all other considerations”.
The President of the Republic “praises” the civil servants and “warns them” too, underlines Les Echos.
The daily newspaper EnQuête reports that the handover of services in the ministries ‘continues in fast-track mode and in sobriety’.
In today’s delivery, the Bës Bi newspaper addresses the history of the necklace worn by the President of the Republic on the day of his inauguration.
”Where the history of the necklace was written”, displays the daily which writes: ”The village of Ngano gives the air of a city with the structure of its habitat (two-story houses, terraces, etc.) despite its difficult access which will be a bad memory in a few months with the end of the construction work on the Dandé Maayo road. Located on the left bank of the Senegal River in the rural commune of Ndendory (Kanel department), Ngano is a village whose history is linked more than once to the Republic of Senegal. For having given him the necklace worn by the President of the Republic during his inauguration by the Constitutional Council, but also the two lion cubs represented in sculpture at the Palace of the Republic.
Bés Bi contacted the Grand Chancellery. ”For the moment, we cannot confirm Ngano’s version. We don’t invalidate it either. There should be communication in this direction,” the publication specifies.
