Record number of bugs found in Windows 11

A record number of bugs have been fixed in Windows 11. This was reported in a report by KrebsonSecurity.

The company’s specialists analyzed the contents of the patch for the current Windows OS, which was released on Tuesday, April 9. It turned out that the update corrects 147 errors and bugs – according to the authors, this is a record for operating systems from Microsoft.

It is clarified that independent experts and specialists from the corporation found almost 150 vulnerabilities in Windows, Office, Azure, .NET Framework, Visual Studio and other system components. Microsoft has also fixed 67 “remote code execution” (RCE) errors, which are the basis for many hacker attacks. Only three of the 147 security vulnerabilities were considered “critical” by Microsoft.

According to experts, a large number of errors can be explained by the fact that Microsoft has to release the OS for thousands of different versions of desktop computers and laptop models – the likelihood of problems arising because of this increases. By comparison, Apple only releases macOS updates for a few dozen computer models.
