RACER Carlos Sainz admits that he wants to immediately find a new team so he can continue his professional career in Formula 1 in 2025.

Sainz, who will leave Ferrari next year because he will be replaced by Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), is still uncertain regarding his future in the premier car racing class.

He admitted that currently he is accelerating his negotiations with a number of teams and considering his options for 2025.

“Of course I’m talking to several (teams), because that’s what my management team and myself have to do when I don’t have a job for next year. We’re talking to all of them,” said Sainz, quoted from the official F1 website, Saturday (6/4).

“It’s just a matter of looking in more detail and looking at more realistic options, and what options are best for me and my future. The only thing I would say is now is the time to speed things up and hopefully we can get it done quicker, ” added the 29 year old racer.

Furthermore, the racer from Spain also provided the latest information regarding his physical condition following appendicitis surgery some time ago.

Sainz admitted that his body fitness was approaching 100% and he was ready to compete in the Japanese GP series at the Suzuka Circuit, this weekend.

“I still can’t lift heavy weights like I used to in the past, but at least I can complete my training and (I) feel back to 100% condition,” said Sainz.

On whether he can maintain his form from Australia, over the coming weekend in Japan, Sainz believes the event has the potential to be a more challenging race for Ferrari.

“I think last year was one of the most challenging years for us compared to Red Bull,” said Sainz.

“So it’s time to look at where we are this year and see if we can at least get closer and enjoy this amazing track more than what we enjoyed last year,” he added.

The qualifying session for the Japanese GP will be held today, Saturday (6/4), at 13.00 WIB. (Ant/Z-1)
