The Professional Football League and the Royal Moroccan Football League changed the way they deal with clubs, in their first and second divisions, with regard to respecting the financial balance, disputes, and payrolls.

In this context, a university committee was formed that included employees and officials from the Professional League and members of the Club Control Committee, which embarked on field visits to the national teams, to determine the extent of their respect for the terms of the financial balance and the books of payments.

According to what was reported by “Al-Sabah” newspaper, the university and the league will not tolerate teams that do not respond to the observations of the monitoring committee regarding finances and disputes, indicating that the ban on assignment will not remain the only punishment, but rather will pass to other punishments that may amount to demotion. And deduct points.

The newspaper added that this new approach falls within the framework of the transformations that national football is witnessing, with the upcoming organization of the World Cup and the African Cup of Nations, and that the League and the League are also committed to interacting with the recommendations and regulations of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), which considers failure to respect contracts a major violation. It entails severe penalties that go beyond the ban on assignment imposed by the national football bodies.

On this basis, the same source explained that the clubs that will not settle their financial situation before the end of the current football season and will not respond to the transfer books will have disciplinary files opened regarding them with the prospect of issuing penalties regarding them, such as preventing them from being assigned for more than one transfer period, then deducting points, before… Passing to the maximum penalty, which is being demoted to a lower level, within the framework of the authority that the law gives to the Clubs Control Committee.

It is expected that the visits conducted by this committee to the teams will continue throughout the month of April and next May, as they will include all teams in the professional tournament, in its first and second divisions, on the basis of providing written evaluation comments, or by summoning representatives of the teams concerned.
