The 2nd storytelling festival organized by IDYFONO publications with the support of the Vice-Mayor of Culture and Tourism of the Municipality of Aegialia concluded with great success. For two days, April 6th and 7th, the Panagiotopoulos Mansion was filled with storytellers and fairy tale heroes, with children and parents who came to listen to fairy tales and sweet melodies from the Choir of the 2nd and 4th Primary School of Aegio.

Mrs. Mari Panagiotakopoulou, manager of Idyphono publications and the excellent teachers, the musician Zoumboulia Spyropoulou and the kindergarten teacher Athena Skandami, cooperated perfectly for the realization of the festival.

Authors of fairy tales, such as Vangelis Iliopoulos, Anastasia Efstathiou, Dimitris Mallis, Roi Moula, Maria Papanikolaou, Roula Smyrnioti, Dina Kizilou, Anna Gourzi, Ioanna Stefanatou in a unique way managed to enchant children and adults and all together to experience the magic of fairy tales.

But for the first time, little storytellers told their tales and won everyone’s applause, such as Dimitra Deligaki, Mariza Tserentzoulia, Eva Anastasopoulou and the youngest of all, ten-year-old Theodora Tsiofila.
A surprise was the dramatization of the fairy tale “The Roads of Salam” by Anastasia Efstathiou by students of the 4th Primary School of Aigio, under the guidance of dramatist Fotini Kourliourou and the support of the School’s Principal Mr. Vassos Platanou.
A special atmosphere was given to the festival by the choirs of the two Primary Schools of the city, the 2nd and 4th, who, under the guidance of their musician Zoumboulia Spyropoulou, filled the mansion with their sweet voices! The presence of the student Luciana Davanellou who sang and played the violin was special.

The festival was honored by the presence of the Municipal Authority, Mrs. Maria Iatropoulou, Mr. Giorgos Angelopoulos, Mr. Takis Tserentzoulias, Mr. Dimitris Eleftheriotis, Mr. Fanis Rambavilas, Mr. Christos Tserentzoulias, Mrs. Eleftheria Marnelis and Mr. Nikos Spiliopoulos, statesman of Achaia, etc.

Mrs. Panagiotakopoulou, in charge of publications, dedicated the festival to Menios Koutropoulos, the man who loved children so much and who, as president of the Aegialia Parents’ Association, established a school story writing competition years ago, and who passed away prematurely.

He thanked the Deputy Mayor of Culture for his support, Dimitris Zoitsoudis, partner of the Cultural Sector of the Municipality of Aegialia, for his unwavering help and service at the festival venue, the Coca cola-3E Company, for the water and soft drinks he offered, Ms. Vasso Troupi (Karnavaloupoli), for the costumes he provided free of charge, Nikos Papagiannopoulos, for the free photographic coverage of the festival, Mr. Vardakis and the Terreggio restaurant, for the meal he provided to the performers, Haris Mantikas for the sound and everyone who attended the festival!
Finally, all three ladies made an appointment at the 3rd Fairy Tale Festival and promised to make it even better!!!!
