A sheet was issued Tuesday by the Rappel Conso site regarding a bicycle seat for babies and children, deemed dangerous for young people. Indeed, the padding of the “Thule RideAlong” harness presents a risk of poisoning due to exceeding the regulatory limits of the flame retardant DecaBDE. If the padding comes into contact with children’s mouths, they may suffer internal damage.

The seat was marketed from March 2021 to October 2023 by numerous French brands specializing in cycling (Mondovélo, Culture Vélo, etc.), sports stores such as Intersport, childcare stores such as Aubert, but also marketplaces (Décathlon, Amazon, etc.). ). Models 100106, 100107 and 100108 are affected by the recall.

The part will be replaced

It is recommended to no longer use the product and to contact the point of sale. A telephone number has been made available to consumers (0046.705.785.343). Customers are also invited to visit www.thule.com/recallthuleridealongerow.

Thule plans to replace the defective harness part. Customers will receive two cushions free of charge to replace the original filling. In exchange, they can return it via a box provided by the manufacturer.
