President Joko Widodo instructed Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi to immediately overcome traffic jams on the road to Ciwandan Harbor, Banten. As reported, at the end of last week, two-wheeled vehicle travelers who wanted to cross to Bakauheni Harbor, Lampung via Ciwandan Harbor had to queue for hours to board the ship.
“There are a few things that need more focused handling, namely in Merak, especially those related to those riding motorbikes in Ciwandan. Previously, we asked the Minister of Transportation for an explanation. Everything has been found for a solution,” said Jokowi when inspecting the homecoming flow at Pasar Senen Station, Jakarta, Monday (8 /4).
Apart from that, he saw that the management of this year’s Eid homecoming was quite good.
“Compared to previous years, I think this year is much better. I don’t see any queues that are too long at the airport or at the station, or in terminals that are very busy and crowded. I don’t see any,” he explained.
Regarding anticipating accidents during homecoming and return traffic, Jokowi asked that good management be maintained. The slightest problem, he stressed, must be resolved immediately.
“Yes, good management continues. Good management continues, small problems are immediately resolved. I think neat planning will lead to good implementation. I think this organization is very good,” he explained. (Z-11)
