The statement added that the decision to restrict exports to Israel includes 54 products, including construction iron, flat steel, marble and ceramics.
The statement confirmed that Türkiye has not sold Israel any product that might be used for military purposes for a long time.
The statement continued: “Since October 7, Turkey has been making political and diplomatic efforts at the highest level, whether on the international scene or in the Islamic world, to stop the conflict and prevent human losses and material destruction, and seeks first to establish a permanent ceasefire and diplomatic solution, and to rebuild Gaza.”
The statement pointed out that Turkey came to the aid of Gaza and its residents, and delivered tens of thousands of tons of aid via ships and planes, especially food, health and medical aid, and evacuated thousands of patients.
The statement pointed out that the aforementioned institutions explicitly called on Israel to cease fire, cooperate with the United Nations, and allow all necessary humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip without interruption.
The Turkish Ministry confirmed that the decisions of the UN Security Council and the International Court of Justice are binding on the state, and that Turkey will continue to monitor the implementation of these decisions.
She called on all members of the international community to do their part to ensure Israel’s compliance with its obligations under international law.
