Kozhikode: Small festival in Kerala on Wednesday. The believers are preparing to celebrate the short festival on Wednesday following completing the 29 fasts of Ramadan following various Qazis announced that they had seen the new moon in Ponnani.
Panakkad Syed Sadiqali Shihab and Palayam Imam VP Shuhaib Maulavi informed that there will be a short festival on Wednesday as the new moon has been seen in Ponnani.
As the crescent moon did not appear on Monday, it was announced yesterday that the holy day will be on Wednesday in the Gulf countries except Oman. UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain will celebrate Eid on Wednesday.
