One ticket in Oregon wins the $1.326 billion Powerball jackpot! Seven tickets win $1 million prizes nationwide.
Oregon has a big winner! A single ticket sold in the state has managed to match all six Powerball drawing numbers, pocketing a $1.326 billion jackpot. The jackpot has a cash value of $621 million, according to use official.
The numbers that gave victory to the lucky player are the white balls 22, 27, 44, 52 and 69, along with the red Powerball 9. The Power Play® multiplier on this occasion was 3X.
A delayed draw and a historic prize
Saturday’s Powerball drawing was delayed because one of the participating lotteries required additional time to complete pre-draw procedures.
Once these were completed, the drawing took place at 2:29 a.m. ET on Sunday at the Florida Lottery studio and was streamed live on Powerball.com.
According to the information provided, final ticket sales pushed the jackpot beyond the initial estimate of $1.3 billion, reaching the final figure of $1.326 billion.
This prize becomes the fourth largest in Powerball history and the eighth largest among all US lottery games.
“On behalf of Powerball, I want to congratulate the winner of this incredible $1.326 billion prize,” said Drew Svitko, president of the Powerball Products Group and CEO of the Pennsylvania Lottery.
