The 39-year-old perpetrator of the murder of 28-year-old Kyriakiin Agios Anargyros, he attempted suicide in the early hours of Sunday, in the psychiatric ward of the Korydallos Prison, where he is held.
According to the first information, the perpetrator of the murder in Agioi Anargyros tried to end his life in the room where he is being held around two in the morning. There the police found him with marks on his neck and unconscious.
He was immediately taken to Atticon Hospital without a pulse with the doctors following great efforts managing to bring him back. He is hospitalized in critical condition in the ICU intubated and tests are being done to determine what injuries he has suffered.
The 39-year-old is said to have used to kill himself the gauze with which the doctors had covered his wound since the day of the murder on Sunday.
It is the second time that the perpetrator of the murder of the 28-year-old Kyriaka tried to kill himself. The first was when, following stabbing his ex-partner to death outside the AT of Agios Anargyros, he self-injured himself, with the injury, however, being minor.
Unrepentant in his apology
In his apology, however, the 39-year-old killer of Sunday was unrepentant. According to the Star report, he also referred to the fatal knife and in the few words he said in his apology, he claimed to remember where he got the knife but not when he attacked and killed his 28-year-old ex-partner.
“I don’t remember anything until I woke up in the ambulance. I had taken the knife from home with the intention of harming myself in front of her. In the past we had some fights but no violent incidents. It has happened before in the past that I have taken drugs and substances and not known where I am,” said the 39-year-old.
