Yesterday, the 2nd Patras International Half Marathon was held with great success, attracting thousands of citizens of all ages.
The streets of the center were closed to welcome the thousands of runners, with many people gathering behind the ribbons to cheer them on.
The participation in the Half Marathon was huge, as was the excitement for those who managed to surpass themselves and finish or set personal records. There were also many famous people, among them politicians, journalists, businessmen, models, etc., who put on their sports shoes and with a happy mood and well-being, participated in this great celebration of sports, among thousands of runners from all over the world.
The route started from the center of Patras and Georgiou Square and continued throughout the urban fabric, reaching the sea front of the Achaean capital, from the old swimming pool of Agia, crossing the new port and a large part of the beach front, highlighting and combining natural beauty and history.
