Promising Acadian Bradly Nadeau has decided to end his university career following only one season in the NCAA in Maine.
The Hurricanes announced Sunday that they had signed him to a three-year entry-level contract.
“Bradly is a dynamic forward with a powerful shot,” general manager Don Waddell said. as quoted in the Hurricanes press release. He had a very impressive season at Maine and we are excited to see his development continue at the professional level.”
A native of Saint-François de Madawaska in New Brunswick, Nadeau was drafted 30th overall by the Hurricanes in 2023 following dominating the B.C. League.
The 5-foot-10 small forward is coming off a tremendous season with the University of Maine, collecting 46 points, including 19 goals, in 37 games, in addition to compiling a +20 differential.
Remember that the Hurricanes do not have an American League affiliate, which limits their options with Nadeau, who might soon make his debut in the National Hockey League.
