The Hungarian Prime Minister already traveled to Banja Luka on Thursday to celebrate with the Bosnian Serb leader and demand justice for Serbia.
On Friday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán personally received the highest award of the Republika Srpska from Milorad Dodik, it was revealed Telex from his report. The recognition that Russian President Vladimir Putin received a year ago on the occasion of the banned national holiday of the Bosnian Serbs on January 9, was now handed over to the Hungarian Prime Minister by Dodik almost three months later.
– Orbán sets an example of how to preserve and protect a society and families. I am sure that in the future we will celebrate our joint successes together, in the meantime we will monitor your every word – emphasized the Bosnian Serb leader, whose words were received emotionally and nostalgically by the Hungarian Prime Minister. Viktor Orbán called himself an old man who remembers when “this world” was called Yugoslavia. He spoke regarding the fact that following the disintegration of the South Slavic state, the Serbs must find their place in the world, and he stood up for the Serbs because “international politics is unfair to the Serbs”.
– Europe needs the Serbs, without them there is no European security, a unified European Union, or stability. Of course, there are many problems with the EU, but today there is no better framework – explained the Prime Minister to the Bosnian Serb leader, advocating EU enlargement with the Balkans, hinting that in his opinion the eastern enlargement – he might have been referring to Ukraine – should be relegated to the back. He criticized the role of the UN in Bosnia, demanding freedom “from abroad”. “Don’t let anyone tell Bosnia what to do.” I also see the award as an authorization – said Viktor Orbán, who wants to do something regarding it in the future, and praised his hosts with the following words: “The school, the church, and the cemeteries are also in order with you.”
As we previously reported, an economic forum is being held in Banja Luka, at which 23 Hungarian companies are represented. Viktor Orbán was joined by the members of the delegation arriving in Banja Luka from Hungary on Friday, including Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó, Minister of National Economy Márton Nagy and Gábor Jenei, head of the HEPA Hungarian Export Development Agency.
