Ajax thinks it will no longer have goalkeeper Diant Ramaj this season. The goalkeeper suffered an elbow injury once morest Go Ahead Eagles (1-1) on Thursday.
According to Ajax, Ramaj has a fracture in his left elbow. The 22-year-old German with Kosovar roots was guilty of Go Ahead’s goal. Ramaj was unable to control a cross in the final phase and saw Bas Kuipers score the equalizer.
“I ended up unlucky following an aerial duel,” said Ramaj on the Ajax website. “Unfortunately I broke my elbow. In any case, I won’t be able to play for the next few weeks. Of course I hope to still be able to play, but it will probably be difficult.”
Ramaj stayed down for some time following Kuipers’ goal, but finished the match.
Ajax is fifth in the Eredivisie with six matches to go.
