The team’s victory was achieved through a collective effort, but Christian Fokerot, Christer Landzans and Armands Rokjans stood out in particular. Christian scored 18 points, while Christer and Armands each scored 13 points.
Today, at 18.00, on the final day of the tournament, the national teams of Latvia and Germany will play each other for first place in the group. The winner is guaranteed a place in the championship final, while the loser will hope to qualify for the final as one of the top three teams.
A total of 16 teams will take part in the finals, which will take place from August 26 to September 7 in Greece and Serbia.
The Latvian U20 national team includes students of the volleyball department of the Daugavpils Sports School and players of the Daugavpils Ezerzeme/DU team Armands Rokjans and Nikita Dimitriev, as well as Augšdaugava team player Danila Mironov.
