In autumn, Lithuanian artists are preparing a musical dedication to the Lithuanian Leonard Cohen Culture

It is for this anniversary of L.Cohen that the experts of good music “Bardai LT” together with the most famous artists of the country decided to appoint a musical dedication, which they called “Tower of Song”.

In November, concerts are planned in four cities of the country – Vilnius, Kaunas, Šiauliai and Palanga – in which the songs of legends will be performed by Vladas Bagdonas, Česlovas Gabalis, Lina Rastokaitė, Raminta Naujanytė-Bjelle, Marius Jampolskis and Andrius Bialobžeskis.

The performers will be accompanied by a rhythm group assembled by conductor Vytautas Lukočius, and the concerts will be directed by poet, writer and director Alvydas Šlepikas.

“Leonard Cohen is a phenomenon, his musical legacy resonates and moves, his low voice heals – soothes, inspires, mesmerizes.” For me, he is a real stage magician, a charming gentleman and a philosophizing guide who takes his hand and invites us on a mystical journey together,” says Alina Semionova, one of the creators of the musical dedication.

Alina says that she heard the legendary singer for the first time when she was maybe 13. “Since then, the singer has remained under my skinaccompanies in various periods of life, saves and resurrects, – she says and adds that L. Cohen’s influence on the music of bards, songwriters and musicians is huge.

Proof of this is a large group of singers and musicians who willingly agreed to participate in the “Song Tower” project. They want to bow to the great creator and give the listeners an informal date with Cohen’s wonderful music.
