At 1:48 p.m., three fire departments as well as rescue and police were called to rescue people following a traffic accident at the intersection of B148 with the L1109 in Mörschwang alarmed. There was a truck driving towards town and a car was traveling towards Obernberg, collided at right angles. Both vehicles were thrown into a field, a police spokesman reports.

The truck driver, a 36-year-old German, was able to free himself. The 56-year-old driver from the Ried district had to be pulled out of the wreckage by the fire department. The seriously injured person was then flown to the hospital in Ried. The truck driver was taken to Schärdinger Hospital with minor injuries.
