Finally ready for work

The plenary held on Saturday at the Sino-Gabonese cooperation stadium in Angondjé, marked the path for the effective start of the work of the inclusive national dialogue. It was obviously led by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Libreville, Mgr Jean Patrick Iba-Ba, surrounded by his entire office, in the presence of the Minister of Restoration of Institutions, Murielle Minkoué Mezui Mintsa.

During this opening plenary, the delegates adopted the internal regulations, previously examined and validated by the dialogue offices and those of the commissions set up on Thursday.

The operational schedule of the work was also revealed on the occasion, as were certain working arrangements and amenities relating to the distribution of work spaces assigned to the twelve (12) sub-committees established.

We will essentially remember that the delegates will debate ten days in the subcommittees, both on their expected contributions and the examination of the summary reports of more than thirty-eight other thousand (38,000) contributions, previously made by Gabonese people from here and elsewhere, reporting to their respective sub-committees.

The remaining ten days will be devoted to the validation of the sectoral reports of the commissions and sub-committees, before the final deliberations leading to the adoption of the final general report of these meetings, between April 25 and 27, 2024.

The inclusive national dialogue brings together more than six hundred (600) delegates from the driving forces of the nation and the diaspora, divided into three (3) commissions: politics, economy and social.

Around three hundred (300) journalists and information professionals and around sixty press and media outlets were accredited to ensure media coverage.

The closing ceremony is scheduled for April 30, at the Palais des sports in Libreville, where the opening ceremony took place on April 2, in the presence of the ECCAS facilitator in the Gabonese transition, the Central African President, Faustin Archange Touadéra.
