Trump: Israel is losing the public relations war and must finish what it started quickly

United States – Former US President Donald Trump considered that Israel needs to “finish what it started” and “finish it quickly,” noting that it is “losing the public relations war” because of the images coming out of Gaza.

Commenting on the progress of the Israeli military operation in Gaza, Trump said on “The Hugh Hewit Show” television program yesterday, Thursday: “You must end the matter and things must return to normal.” And I’m not sure I like the way they do it, because you have to have a victory. “You have to win, and it takes a lot of time.”

Trump defended statements he made recently in an interview with the Israeli newspaper “Israel Hayom” and said that Israel needs to “end” its war with “Hamas” and that it is “losing a lot of support” in the world. One of the Israeli journalists who conducted the interview later wrote that Trump’s comments “shocked them deeply” and argued that both Trump and President Joe Biden “are turning their backs on Israel in their speeches.”

“What I said very clearly is that we have to get it over with, get back to peace and stop killing people,” Trump said. These are very simple statements. Finish it. They must finish what they started. “It must be finished quickly, because we must restore peace and life must return to normal.”

Trump continued by saying that Israel has a problem with its public messaging, and said, “Israel is definitely losing the PR war.”

He added: “The other thing I hate is that they post videos all the time every night, they post clips regarding a building falling. They shouldn’t be posting clips like this. They do, that’s why they’re losing the PR war. “Israel is losing the PR war.”

Earlier this week, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken confirmed the United States’ “long-term” commitment to ensuring Israel’s security, but media reports indicate that the US administration is facing increasing pressure due to the Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip, and that Biden is “very angry” with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin. Netanyahu, especially following the killing of seven aid workers from the World Central Kitchen organization in Gaza at the hands of the Israeli army.
