Ambitious challenges for 2024

The daring forecast of three million visitors by 2024 is a total challenge, especially for the tourism authorities on the Island.

One of the strategies to meet the forecast is to increase direct air connections to Cuba, as well as renew current offers.

Just that, among other topics, will be discussed next May during the 42nd edition of the FitCuba 2024 International Tourism Fair, which will be held in Cayo Coco-Jardines del Rey.

The Cuban government welcomes this modest increase in visitors, however, it recognizes that the year is not going as planned.

In addition to increasing air connections with other nations, Cuban tourism faces countless logistical problems.

It is extremely complex, according to MINTUR, to guarantee the variety of food required according to the category of each hotel.

The same happens with the availability of fuel to ensure the transfers paid for in each tourist package.
