These are invisible components, present in the kitchens of many French people: PFAS, artificial molecules, used in particular in non-stick pans, are singled out for their risk to health and the environment. But should we get rid of it anyway? Many users are thinking regarding it, some have even taken the plunge. However, the risk is very real according to chemists. PFAS are perennial pollutants that should not be taken lightly.
Dangerous components
Certain molecules of the PFAS family, such as PFOA and PFOS, have already been classified respectively.carcinogens” et “possibly carcinogenic”. Dangerous components, which the manufacturer SEB assures has replaced the composition of these utensils with other molecules. For some environmental activists, the precautionary principle must apply.
