We know with relative precision how much a pandemic will cost as a percentage of GDP and the “Event 201” exercise, which simulated a global pandemic based on coronavirus, gave results very close to reality.
So, we have to dig a little into high-intensity exercises to get an idea of the damage, our means and what it might be.
Exercice Warfighter avril 2021
« A French intervention force made up of two combined arms brigades, or 15,000 soldiers, is engaged. After 10 days of bitter fighting, 1,700 were killed, 11,000 wounded, or 1,100 per day. This is the outcome of the Warfighter exercise conducted in the United States in April 2021. In addition to the feedback on interoperability with the American and British ally, the sequence made it possible to point out the significant number of wounded to be treated in the event of high intensity conflict” (source The Point here).
This is what a massive French commitment of ground troops in Ukraine might look like. We would initially have difficulty exceeding 15,000 men and therefore effectively two modern NATO-size brigades.
These two brigades would last 10 days and then… nothing more. All dead (or injured).
In this simulation we arrive at 1,700 dead and 11,000 injured (and that’s not just a flipped nail). This makes 12,700 soldiers lost or out of action, or 85% of the initial troops in… 10 days.
You understand why the Ukrainian army is having difficulty holding out its war over the long term.
As you know, it is impossible to talk regarding Ukrainian losses without being accused of pro-Russian propaganda…
Russian losses 87% of the workforce!
And you will see it is very interesting, because in our 2021 financial year, we have 85% losses.
American intelligence figures give 87% losses for the Russian army (between dead and wounded) and these two figures are entirely consistent in a high-intensity conflict as has unfortunately been the case in Ukraine since February 2022.
The probability is therefore close to 0 that Ukraine does not also suffer losses of between 80 and 90% of its initial troops… This is obvious, even if we cannot say it. Besides, I don’t say it. Russian soldiers die, but Ukrainian soldiers don’t…
ACCORDING TO LCI, RUSSIA HAS LOST 85% OF ITS TROOPS IN UKRAINE…
There, it is no longer the domain of propaganda or lies, we fall squarely into psychiatric disorders! pic.twitter.com/6dGIK80hjl— Pascal Laurent (@Pascal_Laurent_) April 3, 2024
This war devours 30,000 men per month.
This means, if we project the trends a little, that the Russian and Ukrainian losses are at least equivalent. That is more than 630,000 dead or wounded in 21 months of war, or 30,000 men per month.
This is what high intensity conflict is.
This is what a real war is.
But it might be worse.
We can use even more massive bombing, we might even use tactical nuclear bombs, or even level a few entire cities. The deaths would number in the millions every month. A brilliant success which would have the merit of making us forget the deficit which would be the least of our worries as well as the rating assigned by the rating agency to our country’s debt.
The movements of gold and the yellow metal are therefore very worrying, because, at this stage, there is no other explanation for the phenomenal rise in the yellow metal in recent days than the worrying one of the noises of boots.
It’s already too late, but all is not lost.
Prepare yourselves !
