Blas Cantó’s television side is booming in 2024. In addition to continuing to triumph with his music following the recent release of ‘Lo Tried’, the artist will compete tonight (10:50 p.m.) for the grand finale of ‘Bake Off: Famous in the oven’ on TVE, facing off once morest Alba Carrillo, Rocío Carrasco and Ana Boyer for winning this edition, which he described as an “incredible experience.”
“I’ve had a great time. I’ve sweated a lot. They haven’t fallen into the crowd, eh? Some of them have,” said the singer in a statement given to ALL OF IT at the Dial 2024 Awards, a gala that he presented a few days ago in Santa Cruz de Tenerife together with Edurne and Carmen Ramírez, highlighting his great connection with Rocío Carrasco: “We knew each other from a meal at Yolanda Ramos’s house and from having gone to her program (‘Talk to them.’) But the program didn’t talk to her. We’ve really gotten to know each other on this show and it’s been amazing.. How she cooks, how generous she is, she took things for everyone…”
Maintaining the secret of what will happen tonight at all times so that the magic of television is not lost, Blas Cantó had no doubts when it came to assuring the media that the position is “deserved”.
In another order of things, asked by the media present, Blas Cantó let himself be loved to be one of the presenters of Junior Eurovision 2024, which will be held in Spain at the end of the year: “That will have to be discussed with Ana María Bordás and the EBU. I speak French, English and Spanish and I was in ‘Eurojunior’ 20 years ago with María Isabel. Everything fits, right? But, hey, I’m not going to say anything else.”
The singer also has very good memories of his time in the children’s talent group that chose the representatives of Spain in the European competition: “I had the illusion of a child. But now as an adult there is this longing and nostalgia. “They are feeling very beautiful things and you have to take care of them because everything you tell them and they live at that age, they will remember for their entire lives and it will mark them forever.”
“I remember Noemí Galera, Ismael Agudo… There are so many people I was there. Do you remember Juan and Vanesa? There were two dancers, one with long hair and she the one who changed her hair color. I remember everyone. And now they have called me for the Canarian edition of ‘Marvelous People’ for a program in which Teresa Rabal is surprised and I started giving them phone numbers of people from ‘I see, I see,'” Cantó commented.
Blas also has very good words for Gestmusic, producer of ‘OT’, ‘Tu cara me Sonya’ and ‘Eurojunior’: “They are my family. You talk to me regarding Gestmusic and my heart melts. I love them madly. In addition, it is a producer that takes great care of the music, that when you arrive on a set you hear yourself well… It is very exciting because you realize that you have been doing this for more than 20 years.”
