The Corruption Eradication COMMISSION (KPK) summoned the former President Director (Dirut) of PT Hutama Karya Persero Bintang Perbowo today, Monday (1/4). He will be asked for information regarding the alleged fraud in land acquisition around the Trans Sumatra Toll road carried out by PT Hutama Karya Persero.

“(The examination) took place at the KPK’s Red and White Building,” said KPK enforcement spokesman Ali Fikri in a written statement, Monday, April 1 2024.

The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) also summoned former Head of Business Development and Investment Division of PT Hutama Karya Persero Moh Rizal Sutjipto and Iskandar Zulkarnaen today. The three people were parties who were prevented by investigators from leaving the country because they had strong links to this case.

The Corruption Eradication Committee hopes that they will cooperate with investigators. Information from the three people is needed to complete the suspects’ case files.

The Corruption Eradication Commission announced a new investigation. The acts of corruption being investigated are related to the land acquisition project for the construction of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road carried out by PT Hutama Karya Persero.

“Because there were indications of state financial losses arising from the land acquisition process around the Trans Sumatra Toll Road which was carried out by one of the state-owned companies (PT Hutama Karya Persero), the Corruption Eradication Commission then followed up by carrying out an investigation,” said KPK spokesman Ali Fikri at the Red and White Building. The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) said investigators detected state losses from the land acquisition. The nominal value is estimated at billions of rupiah.

“The value of the state’s financial losses currently reaches tens of billions of rupiah and we are collaborating with BPKP to calculate the fixed amount of the losses in question,” said Ali. (Z-10))
