The low-cost airline will abandon cities and cut 16 routes, some in the United States.
JetBlueone of the best-known airlines in all USAannounced that it will abandon five cities in the country and cut 20 routes, including some out of Los Angeles, California, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The company communicated these measures in an internal memo, obtained by Business Insider. JetBlue vice president of network planning and airline partnerships Dave Jehn said the airline will abandon the five cities starting June 13, 2024.
These changes are raised for improve servicefollowing the airline ranked last in 2023 in baggage handling, punctuality, tarmac delays, extreme delays and flight cancellations.

- Bogota Colombia
- Quito, Ecuador
- Lima Peru
- Kansas City, Missouri

Routes canceled by JetBlue in 2024
Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale are the cities most affected by the route cuts. The sections that will be canceled are the following:
- The Angels: short routes with Cancún (Mexico), Puerto Vallarta (Mexico), Las Vegas, Miami, Reno, San Francisco, Seattle and Liberia (Costa Rica).
- Fort Lauderdale: cuts routes with Bogotá (Colombia), Lima (Peru), Quito (Ecuador), Atlanta, Austin, Nashville, New Orleans and Salt Lake City.
- Between JFK in New York and Detroit.
- Between Orlando and Salt Lake City.
- Between Tampa and Aguadilla (Puerto Rico).
