“One last dance at the state championships and then…”

Elisa Mörzinger will end her professional ski career on April 9th at the Reiteralm following the Austrian Championships. The 26-year-old announced this on Instagram on Wednesday.

“Ending something that you have done and loved for so long is extremely hard,” writes the woman from Altenfelden there. “I’ve been wrestling with the decision since December, but the fire for skiing no longer burns and I no longer feel joy.” Nevertheless, it was an “incredible time,” but now she is ready for something new.

The Mühlviertler has been in the Ski World Cup circuit since 2019. Mörzinger’s greatest success was second place in the parallel giant slalom in Sestriere in January 2020.
