Aston Martin will hold the world premiere of the Vantage in Vilnius, in an open space | Business

Aston Martin Vilnius announced that it will hold a public presentation of the Vantage in the capital, in the courtyard of the Quadrum business center. And here’s what a true petrolhead needs to know regarding the Aston Martin Vantage.

In order for a model to be called a real driver’s car, several important elements are needed: a powerful engine in the front, rear-wheel drive and perfect weight distribution. The Aston Martin Vantage has followed this formula for over 74 years, but with the new model it’s taken things to the next level.

Let’s start with the hand-picked V8 engine, the most powerful in Vantage history. It generates 665 hp and boasts a whopping 800 Nm of torque. In numbers, the new Aston Martin Vantage is 30 percent. more powerful than its predecessor.

Power engineering

A more powerful engine requires more air and more efficient cooling, so Aston Martin engineers installed larger turbines in the Vantage, improved the valve rollers, optimized the compression ratio in the cylinders and improved the cooling system. Unlike its predecessor, it has two additional radiators and an additional intercooler to ensure optimum temperature air enters the engine.

The result? The sports coupe can accelerate up to 100 km/h. in 3.5 seconds, and its maximum speed is 325 km/h. But more important than the numbers here is Aston Martin’s technological leap.

A bit of a hooligan

Most of the power comes through the launch control system, and normally this system works in other cars so that the computer calculates the optimum engine speed before the start for efficient acceleration. Effective, but not effective.

Meanwhile, in the new Aston Martin Vantage, the driver can choose how strongly the traction control intervenes here, and that the system allows the tires to give a little swish before the start and enjoy the pure power of the car, which is almost not limited by the electronic system.

As with the previous generation models, Aston Martin paid a lot of attention to the construction of the car’s body to make it light and strong at the same time. The new Vantage’s bonded aluminum construction has been further strengthened at the shock absorber mounts and additional anti-roll bars.

The result is 29 percent. stiffer body at the rear of the car. This means that the driver, sitting a few centimeters from the rear axle, will be able to perfectly feel the car and as if merge with it.

When driver and car merge

Not to mention, the new Vantage boasts perfect axle weight distribution. Also, for the first time, an insulated steering column is installed here, which is usually only installed on racing cars. Such an engineering solution allows you to feel with your palms how the front axle works in turns and creates even more involvement in driving.

The newly designed seats will also contribute strongly to this feeling. Their frame is made of lightweight carbon fiber, to which are mounted cushions for the rider’s body. Until now, seats with a similar design might be seen in the Aston Martin hypercar Valkyrie and DB12. This design of the seats allows to reduce the overall weight of the car, precisely supports the driver and, without a doubt, looks futuristic.

New generation technologies

This impression is reinforced by the completely new interior design. Vantage’s interior is dominated by straight lines, which seem to emphasize the latest Aston Martin technology – an in-house developed information system and high-resolution touchscreen. True, the manufacturer did not abandon physical keys either. With them, the driver will be able to choose gears, different driving modes, suspension settings or climate control functions.

Meanwhile, on the outside, attention is drawn to the newly designed LED headlights with highly technical daytime running lights. The Vantage also has larger grilles to help cool the more powerful engine more efficiently. The rear part has retained the sharp lines of this model, and the massive diffuser below not only presses the rear of the car to the road, but also adds aggression to it.
