One euro now not reimbursed on each box of medicines or paramedical procedure, four euros per medical transport: the amount of “medical deductibles”or remains the responsibility of the social insured for these services, double from Sunday March 31.

Faced with the deterioration of Social Security accounts, the government has decided to make patients pay a little more for their healthcare consumption, by increasing the portion not reimbursed by Health Insurance and supplementary health insurance. According to the Ministry of Health, the measure should allow 800 million euros in savings per year for Social Security funds.

From Sunday therefore, the deductible on medicines and paramedical procedures increases from 50 cents to 1 euro. That of medical transport also doubles, going from 2 euros to 4 euros.

The “flat rate contribution” will increase to 2 euros

In the event of accumulation of procedures in the same day, the amount cannot, however, exceed 4 euros of remaining liability per day for medical procedures (compared to 2 euros until then) and 8 euros for medical transport (compared to 4 euros). previously).

The “flat rate participation” – which operates according to the same principle for consultations and medical procedures, with the exception of those carried out during hospitalization, but also medical biology and radiology examinations – will soon increase to 2 euros, compared to 1 euro Today. The date of this increase, recorded by a decree published in mid-February, is not yet known.

So that the people with the greatest need for care are not penalized, the two annual ceilings – one for deductibles, the other for fixed contributions – are maintained at 50 euros each.

Excesses and flat-rate reimbursements are not applicable to minors, women on maternity leave and beneficiaries of complementary solidarity health insurance (C2S) – the latter having particularly modest incomes.
