LEBRON James performed extraordinary, Monday (1/4) WIB, by scoring 40 points including making nine of 10 three-point attempts when the Los Angeles Lakers won 116-104 at home to the Brooklyn Nets.
James, who has won the NBA MVP title four times and is the oldest active player in the United States (US) basketball league at the age of 39, made 13 of his 17 attempts and added 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the match once morest the Nets.
“I felt really good today, especially shooting the ball from the three-point line,” James said. “I just try to play my game when I don’t show any weakness in attack.”
James scored 40 points for the 77th time in an NBA game to match Oscar Robertson’s mark for seventh on a list led by Wilt Chamberlain who scored 271 points or more in an NBA game.
“I really love this sport. Therefore, I try to give my best performance,” said James.
Anthony Davis added 24 points and 14 rebounds while Rui Hachimura scored 20 points and 10 rebounds.
D’Angelo Russell scored 18 points to reach 10,000 points in his career as he led the Lakers to a 42-33 win-loss record, two games ahead of the Golden State Warriors for two play-in spots in the Western Conference. (AFP/Z-1)
