Russia attacked Ukraine with cruise missiles and drones

On the night of March 31, the Russian military attacked Ukraine with 14 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles, 11 Shahed attack drones, an Iskander-M ballistic missile and a Kh-59 guided missile.

Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down 9 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles and 9 attack drones.

On Sunday night, the Russian military attacked the energy infrastructure of the Odessa region with drones for two hours, the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine said in a statement.

All 8 were shot down unmanned, the Ukrainian military said. However, the fall of debris from the downed drone caused a fire at one of the region’s power facilities, resulting in a blackout in several populated areas. The fire has been extinguished, the Southern Defense Forces say.

At regarding 6 a.m. Moscow time, air defense systems “destroyed” three aircraft-type drones over the Yaroslavl region, the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

At the same time, a missile threat was declared in Belgorod and the Belgorod region. A little later, the Ministry of Defense announced that 10 rockets from the Ukrainian Vampire MLRS were destroyed over the Belgorod region.
