The ministers “will discuss the best way to organize NATO’s support for Ukraine to make it stronger, more predictable and more sustainable”, underlined an Alliance official on condition of anonymity. “No decision” is expected at this meeting but “discussions will continue in view of the NATO summit in Washington in July,” he added.

The financing of this fund is still under discussion but the idea is that each of the Member States of the Alliance contributes to it. based on its gross domestic product (GDP), he further explained. “Everything that contributes to the dynamic of support for Ukraine goes in the right direction,” said a NATO diplomat, noting however that this idea still raised many questions among the Allies, particularly on financing.
