A few hours following its release, Azahriah’s latest song “Cipoe” became unavailable during the day on Monday, or more precisely, its video clip published on YouTube. The video was published at midnight, we also reported on it in the morning, and by noon more than 160,000 people had seen it.
In the early followingnoon, the clip was set to private, and Azahriah wrote regarding it on her Insta page: “I took down the new clip, when the crappy compressed audio underneath is replaced with a normal one, I’ll put it back. In the meantime, listen to Spotyn.”
Update: At three in the followingnoon, the video was made available once more, which can be viewed here:
In the song, Azahriah repeatedly says messages critical of the government/system, for example once that:
“So if the wind were to blow your mouth
Or you’d put it on someone else
With a silly Origo article
You propaganda machine,
So if my voice were to be heard and the people mightn’t hear it
It’s not a big problem then, I told you what I wanted a long time ago
In stadiums, the people shout: Álé-álé
I saved myself, so now it’s time to save others too.”
