Cinema theaters are preparing to receive a number of films during the Eid al-Fitr season this year. The first of these films to be confirmed for screening is the film “Shaqou” by the star Amr Youssef, who is the first star to announce his entry into the Eid al-Fitr film season competition. The film was written by Wissam Sabry and directed by Karim El-Sobky. Also participating in the film are: Dina El-Sherbiny, Amina Khalil, Mohamed Mamdouh, Abbas Abu Al-Hassan, and the star Yousra.
The artist Ali Rabie also announced his participation in the Eid al-Fitr season with the movie “Ala Al-Mashi”, written by Ahmed Al-Wahab, produced by Fathi Ismail and Youssef Al-Taher, directed by Muhammad Al-Khabiri, and co-starring Salah Abdullah, Karim Afifi, and Aya Samaha.
Among the films that recently completed filming is “We Appreciate Your Circumstances,” which is nominated for screening, starring Ahmed El-Fishawy, Mai Selim, Nisreen Tafesh, Mahmoud Hafez, Mohamed Mahmoud, Arifa Abdel Rasoul, written by Samir El-Nil and directed by Ayman Makram.
Also nominated for screening during the Eid al-Fitr season is the movie “And We Have Love in Love,” whose events take place in a romantic context, starring Ahmed Al-Saadani, Mayan Al-Sayed, Omar Raziq and Farida Ragab, and written and directed by Sarah Raziq in her first feature-length cinematic directing experience.
One of the films that was postponed for a while and whose filming was recently completed is the movie “The People of the Cave”, starring Khaled Al-Nabawi, Mahmoud Hamida, Ghada Adel, Mohamed Farrag, Bayoumi Fouad, Sabry Fawaz and Mohamed Mamdouh. It is based on a novel by the great writer Tawfiq Al-Hakim, with a screenplay and dialogue by Ayman. Bahjat Qamar and directed by Amr Arafa.
There is also the movie “Death Squad,” which finished filming a long time ago and was recently nominated for showing during the Eid al-Fitr season, starring Ahmed Ezz, Menna Shalaby, Aser Yassin, Mahmoud Hamida, Bayoumi Fouad, Jihan Al-Shamasherji, and Samah Anwar, written by Salah Al-Juhaini and directed by Ahmed. Alaa El Deeb.
The film “An Interlude of Delicious Moments” will also be shown, written by Sherif Naguib and directed by Ahmed El Gendy and starring Hisham Maged, Hana El Zahid, Mohamed Tharwat and Bayoumi Fouad, and its events take place within a social and comedic framework.
