ACTRESS Dinda Kanyadewi plays a role in the latest horror film presented by MD Pictures, Badarawuhi in Penari Village. Badarawuhi in Penari Village can also be called the KKN 2 film, which is the universe of the KKN film in Penari Village which was successful with 10 million viewers and became the Indonesian film with the highest number of viewers of all time in modern records. Badarawuhi is a prequel to KKN in Penari Village.
In this film, Dinda Kanyadewi plays Jiyanti, a character who is cursed by Badarawuhi and has to experience terrible pain. He just lay on the bed with a burnt body and always bleeding.
But, not only lying on the bed, Dinda in this film also had to do extreme scenes. He was also surprised because when filming and acting in a scene it was different from his view when he first received the scenario.
“I knew what Jiyanti’s character was like when I received the scenario. Only in that scenario it’s not that extreme. If you read it, it’s like, for example, ‘oh yes he groaned in pain.’ I didn’t know it was shaped like that. But yes, that’s the fun of us filming. “Sometimes what we read is like, the visuals in our heads are different from the visuals in the director’s head,” said Dinda Kanyadewi when met at the gala premiere of Badarawuhi in Penari Village at XXI Gandaria City.
Through this film, Dinda is also required to learn dance choreography. He learned to dance quite quickly with only five to six sessions. Playing in this film, physically, mentally and choreography are things that must be mastered. According to Dinda, playing at Badarawuhi is very physically draining. So he always has to stretch before and following filming. The film Badarawuhi in Penari Village will be shown on Eid 2024 in Indonesian cinemas, and will then also be distributed in cinema networks in the United States. (Z-8)
