IN commemoration of its 123rd anniversary which falls on Monday, April 1 2024, PT Pegadaian held a hybrid ceremony which was held simultaneously throughout Indonesia.
In his speech, the President Director of PT Pegadaian, Damar Latri Setiawan, said that this year’s anniversary celebration took the theme “1 2 3 GO!!!”, with a message of Pegadaian’s commitment and contribution to always be enthusiastic regarding presenting continuous innovation and transformation, 123 years for the future Together. -GOLD is Indonesia.
“Pawnshop 123 GO!!! This is a sign of the readiness and willingness of all elements of Pegadaian to welcome the new era with a blazing spirit, with high integrity to reach stages of progress armed with strategy, togetherness and strong determination which will lead Pegadaian to a new milestone in the series of numbers “123” which signifies the company will continue to grow sustainably,” said Damar (01/04).
Damar continued, in its 123rd year, Pegadaian carries a unique and differentiating value for employees and companies, namely Goldenizing Indonesia. This value implies a tough character in facing change, as a form of challenge through innovation, a spirit of collaboration, continuing to learn, grow and contribute towards a Golden Indonesia.
“With this value, it is hoped that improvements will be made to Pegadaian’s employee value proposition, which is high level and long term oriented. It’s time for Pegadaian People to ignite their passion, to become a Generation of Champions who are competent and inspiring by upholding integrity & professionalism. “And provide the best contribution and service to society,” he stressed
Previously, as part of its 123rd anniversary this year, Pegadaian held a Ramadan Festival which was held in 61 locations throughout Indonesia starting from the beginning of the month of Ramadan, and closed with the Ramadan Golden Stage which took place from 29 to 31 March 2024 at 12 points in Indonesia . Not only filled with entertainment and competitions, the activity which carries the concept of a people’s market has various activities such as the MSME Bazaar, Gold Auction Bazaar, Tabligh Akbar, Handover of Compensation for Orphans, Announcement of Pawn Shop Points, and other events, which provide interesting experiences for the community, as well as closer to Pegadaian.
Not only that, Pegadaian together with the Ministry of BUMN also held a Fun Homecoming with BUMN as a concrete manifestation of the implementation of BUMN’s service to the community by carrying out a mission of deep Social and Environmental Responsibility. By focusing on mitigating the risk of traffic accidents during the homecoming season, this program is also in line with efforts to achieve TPB/SDGs 11 concerning Sustainable Cities and Settlements.
Registration for the Fun Homecoming with BUMN will take place starting from March 13 2024. Meanwhile, the ceremonial flag off for this activity will be held on April 5 2024, to mark the start of a safe and comfortable homecoming journey for the participants. This year’s Fun Homecoming activity sent a total of 3,000 people consisting of PT Pegadaian customers and the general public to show PT Pegadaian’s inclusiveness and concern for all levels of society.
