Matamoros,Tamaulipas.- The Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (UAT) reaffirms its commitment to the training of professionals of excellence in the field of health, by endorsing eighteen specialist doctors who successfully completed their residency at the General Hospital of Matamoros, from various regions of Mexico.
Through the Matamoros Faculty of Medicine, the UAT has played a fundamental role in the preparation and certification of these resident doctors, who, in a formal ceremony, received their specialty diplomas in areas such as Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Pediatrics and General Surgery.
During this emotional event, the importance of the UAT’s contribution to the academic training of graduates was highlighted.
Likewise, gratitude was expressed to the heads of the medical services responsible for each specialty for their invaluable contribution to the professional development of the residents.
The ceremony culminated with the moment in which the new medical specialists received their diplomas, which marks the beginning of a new stage in their careers and reaffirms the University’s commitment to medical excellence and service to the community.
The event was attended by prominent authorities in the field of health; among others, the medical director of the Matamoros Hospital, Dr. Gerardo García Salinas; the head of Teaching and Research, Dr. Ignacio Mendoza Hernández; and the academic secretary of the Matamoros Faculty of Medicine of the UAT, Dr. Dionicio Enrique Martínez Saldaña.
