Lake Balaton
After a three-year break, the Balaton Supermarathon will take place once more from Thursday to Sunday. Registrations were received from 386 cities and 17 countries.
According to the organizer Budapest Sports Office, the event, which has been taking place for 14 years, will involve running more than 196 km, with participants competing in different teams and over different distances along Lake Balaton. On Friday the Öböl half marathon starts in Keszthely and ends at Szigliget Castle with the MarathonFüred runners.
The weekend runners can join the Half-Balaton Supermarathon on Saturday in Badacsony, where they will run 94.8 km. A classic route of 42.2 km is also offered. The destination is located on the Tagore Promenade in Balatonfüred. On Sunday, the final day, the 15 km participants can also run to the finish together with the runners from the four-day and two-day competitions in Siófok.
