Gaza Strip, Palestinians reject Israel’s proposal: “Trap” –

The self-described “Palestinian Resistance Factions” in a post on Telegram rejected the Israeli proposal to send Arab forces to manage the Gaza Strip. In a statement released in Damascus, the “Factions” warned of the danger of aligning themselves with such proposals, as they constitute «a trap and a new Zionist deception, aimed at attracting some Arab countries to serve its plans and its project following his significant failure on the field.” According to what we read in the press release «Israel together with the United States “is trying to circumvent the shameful defeat suffered through the assistance of some Arab countries and some of their instruments in the region to bring the occupation army out of the great quagmire in which fell in the Gaza Strip.”

Danger for Italy. The former general's alarm: who risks more

But what did Tel Aviv propose for the management of the Gaza Strip? Create a multinational military force with troops from Arab countries to ensure order and escort humanitarian aid convoys to the Gaza Strip. That’s the proposal made by Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant during his visit to Washington this week, two senior Israeli officials told Axios. According to the portal, the proposal arises from Israel’s need to reduce the pressure on the issue of aid to Gaza which, according to the United Nations, is on the brink of famine. Israeli officials also believe a multinational force might help establish an alternative to Hamas rule in the enclave. The plan calls for the Arab force to remain in Gaza for a limited transition period and to be responsible for securing the temporary pier that the United States will build off the coast and for escorting humanitarian convoys so that aid reaches the population without the risk that they might be looted by Hamas.
