The Attorney General’s Office has charged Melissa C. as allegedly responsible for the death of a motorcyclist in a tragic accident that occurred in Armenia, Quindío.
According to the testimonies collected, the victim was hit by the vehicle that the defendant was supposedly driving.
Who is suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
The tragic event took place on the morning of March 29 in the Providencia neighborhood of Armenia.

According to the investigation, Melissa C. collided her car with another vehicle and subsequently fled the scene.
During his escape, he would have missed a red light, hitting the motorcycle on which Arles Arbeláez Morales, the deceased victim, was traveling.
After the crash, the defendant was taken to a medical center where medical tests were performed, one of which showed a blood alcohol level of grade three.
Additionally, it has been revealed that Melissa C. has a history of traffic violations related to speeding in Buga and Medellín.
Likewise, the woman has a history of not having Mandatory Traffic Accident Insurance (SOAT).
The woman has accepted her responsibility for the crime of aggravated manslaughter charged by the Prosecutor’s Office and has expressed her apologies to the victims.
The hearing to define the corresponding security measure has been scheduled for next Tuesday, April 2, where the legal course of the case will be determined.
