In the beginning there was the jeep and the land was chaos and chaos and that is excellent, because only a real jeep drives in such situations. And now seriously, the Wrangler is the last remnant of the incarnations of the old Willys and as such it maintains very high off-road capabilities even in the base versions and completely disrupted off-road capabilities if you go for the Rubicon. But the reason it’s here is simple, unlike the happy 90s when you might find off-road vehicles with the option to remove the roof like the first Kia Sportage and Mitsubishi Pajero, which allowed you to enjoy clean air in the field (or dust if you’re not leading the caravan) – Today, in our budget the selection has more or less been reduced to the Wrangler and even then, you’ll probably have to settle for the “Sport” version.
But not everything is rosy (or brown). Short Wrangler licensed for driver + three passengers, long Wrangler – plus 9% to the list price – licensed for driver + four. In both, by the way, following the roof is dismantled, it stays at home, because it does not roll up and there is no place to carry it in the car. Just make sure it doesn’t rain, and don’t leave anything inside when you park it.
In addition, the quality of the passenger cabin is at least as low as the ride comfort and both of these are really luxurious compared to its passive and active safety. Besides that, you should sleep in it, because the Wrangler, almost every Wrangler is one of the most wanted vehicles by car thieves. Leave, actually don’t change in it, they will steal you too.
