Three teenage girls were arrested on Friday for beating a 64-year-old man to death in Washington in the United States, local media reported.

The young girls, aged 12 for one and 13 for the other two, had filmed the horrible scene of the murder of Reggie Brown. The video, filmed on a cellphone, was shown in court Friday, according to the Washington Post.

We can see a group of five girls chasing a 64-year-old disabled man in an alley. As he tried to escape by climbing a fence, the girls pulled him down and stomped on his head, hitting it on the concrete pavement. We also see them pull down his pants to take his belt and beat him with it.

None of the girls had been arrested before, but all three had problems with long-standing truancy and delinquency, according to the Washington Post. The 12-year-old girl, who was shot in the foot the day before, was walking around the court on crutches Friday.

In the video shown in court, a man in his 20s can be seen initiating the attack on Reggie Brown, the 64-year-old disabled man. One of the girls then asks him: “Can I beat him?”, before receiving permission from the young man, who encourages others to join their friend, local media reported.

The girls can also be heard getting excited and shouting, “He’s bleeding!”, talking regarding the blood gushing from Mr. Brown’s skull as they beat him to the ground. Two of the girls refused to participate in the attack, but the man in his 20s allegedly threatened them with a gun, the Washington Post reported.

Judges determined Friday and Saturday that there was enough evidence to support second-degree murder charges once morest three of the five girls. All three will be held in a secure juvenile detention center while awaiting trial.
