CHAIRMAN of the Republic of Indonesia’s DPR, Puan Maharani, emphasized that carrying out the right to investigate fraud in the 2024 election is the right of each member.
“It’s the member’s right. If it can be of good use then that’s fine, but we’ll see first how it happens in the field,” said Puan at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Thursday (28/3).
“Is it necessary then that in the field there needs to be political support, not just political will, but support from political support which will be useful for society,” he added.
Separately, Deputy Chair of Commission II DPR RI, Junimart Girsang, said that the plan to roll out the right to investigate fraud in the 2024 Election was continuing to be discussed among fellow members of the DPR RI.
“The right to inquiry is a constitutional right of the DPR and is regulated in law. “Well, if it’s called the right to inquiry, we’ll wait,” stressed Junimart, at the Indonesian DPR Building.
“This is currently a conversation that is currently underway in the DPR, regarding whether or not we will see how communication will be between the various factions later, yes, the conditions are that at least 25 people are enough and only two factions are enough. “That’s the rule,” he added.
