Singer Lenny Kuhr’s concert in Groningen’s Stadskanaal went off without any problems on Tuesday followingnoon. Extra security measures had been taken in advance because an earlier performance by 74-year-old Kuhr was disrupted by pro-Palestinian activists.
For example, ticket sales were stopped prematurely and there was security in the Geert Teis theater. Media were not welcome, except for a few reviewers. Mayor Klaas Sloots welcomed the visitors to the theater and shook their hands.
During her concert, Kuhr barely discussed what happened in Waalwijk on Sunday. Just before she sang the song ‘In my book’, she only said: “What happened in the last days and also this day will be written in this book.”
Strength
After the concert, which she closed with the famous song The Troubadour, she had her picture taken with her fans and signed CDs. They then talked regarding the events for a while. A visitor, Ingrid de Vries (76) from Sellingen, wished her strength and strength. She had never doubted for a moment whether she would come. “If I have to, I’ll protest once morest it.” De Vries has nothing good to say regarding the disruption of the previous performance and calls it “scandalous”. “What are we doing in 2024? This is actually pitiful.”
