My old mother, who lived to be 104 years and 7 months old, was heavily dependent on home care in the last years.
As my wife and I live in Copenhagen, it was not easy to drop by immediately.
She was a stubborn old lady with a bright mind and a good sense of humor, but she didn’t want to hear regarding domestic help to begin with a few years ago.
However, we gradually persuaded my mother to get more and more help.
And what a fantastic help.
As my mother was very visually impaired, it may not have always been easy to help her. She wanted to prove to the end that she might do it herself, even when physics failed.
But there were no sour expressions from the home care.
We’ll fix that, was always the answer. No task was too big, none too small.
On top of that, it was rumored that they were almost competing internally to be allowed to come out to her, then as a family you can’t wish for more.
We owe the home care in Aalborg – Anneberg department – an indescribable thank you for the care and tenderness the home care provided and which helped my mother through her last years.
