Serious accident in Liezen: girl (8) in danger of death

The truck driver stated that the car was coming towards him in his lane. The side impact caused the car to be thrown once morest the minibus. Four people were injured, an eight-year-old even with life-threatening injuries. The little one was flown to the LKH Graz.

The 54-year-old was driving his truck with a semi-trailer towards Stainach around 5:20 a.m. when he collided with the oncoming car from Germany. There was the 35-year-old driver, a 33-year-old in the passenger seat and the eight-year-old in the back seat. As a result of the collision, the car was thrown once morest the minibus that a 58-year-old from Liezen was driving.

Injured man freed from wreckage using rescue scissors

The fire department had to free the 35-year-old German from the wreckage using rescue scissors. He, his passenger and the driver of the third vehicle were seriously injured and taken to hospital; the child was flown to Graz. The truck driver remained uninjured. According to the Styria State Police Department, the cause of the accident is being determined. The B320 was closed for two and a half hours and there was a local diversion.
