Purim has become in recent years a whole week of celebrations and this year as well, even though the holiday will be held in a war format, the entire country was filled with cheerful and colorful costumes. It’s nice and varied, but following all the phosphorescent tulle and synthetic fabrics we needed some peace of mind. The look that Yael Shelvia uploaded to her Instagram account yesterday completely answered this longing.
Yael went out for a henna and mikva celebration, and with the help of her regular stylist Daniela Caploto, she created an elegant and beautiful look that can be easily recreated. At the base of the outfit is a white button-down shirt that we all have in our closet, which she put into a classic black mini skirt. The model warmed her legs with black tights and threw a long wool coat over her shoulders. All the items, except for the Chanel quilt bag and the Saint Laurent shoes, came from the brand that Shelvia has been launching for several seasons: Renoir.
The next day, Yael showed up for the Passover campaign shoot of the Israeli fashion network, where she wore the spring version of the look from the previous evening. This time the button-down shirt was sewn from black lace fabric, and teamed with a matching mini skirt with a three-dimensional floral element in the front.
So far everything is quite predictable, but the real surprise on the set was the colleague who took a picture with Yael – her sweet dog, Tut. The model on all fours was not knocked down, and she also received accessories in the spirit of the holiday: a collar and strap combined with white lace, just like her mother’s. Sweet as matzah with a shard.
