In Raviv Drucker’s laundry: “The Source” made sure to whitewash Adv. Avi Himi

A thorny bush should not be approached – it is tangled and full of thorns that penetrate and scratch the skin, that injure and tear clothes. A reasonable person would prefer to bypass the discussion and continue on his way, but Raviv Drucker doesn’t care. On the contrary, usually Drucker will be the first to jump voluntarily into any discourse of interests, thorns and associates. He will roll inside him from side to side, because what does he care regarding the dirt and the wounds – following all Drucker has a washing machine for cleaning and bleaching on TV.

Last night (Tuesday), on his show “The Source”, Drucker made sure to whitewash Attorney Avi Hami – who was the chairman of the Bar Association, until publications regarding sex crimes and flirting in a Zoom call led to his resignation and disappearance from the public eye. It was a clean job. For a year and a quarter, the journalist accompanied Himi, gave him a polygraph test and received dozens of correspondence, photos, videos and associates from him, which supported his claims that he actually had a brief romantic relationship with a young lawyer, Hila Yehezkel, and only because he did not help her get accepted for trial – she made a complaint once morest him false

It was a one-sided “investigation”. Drucker drew a timeline on which he cracked the complainant’s version, painting her as vindictive, a liar, close to Netanyahu’s associates and bragging regarding romantic relationships, and to finish he showed a video in which a private investigator apparently followed her, and filmed her leaving a building arm in arm with a married man. In cases of “word for word” it is customary to give both sides a chance to speak, but this is not the case at Drucker’s laundry.

“There was a minute when Himi was seen as the leader of the new center-left,” Drucker stated decisively to emphasize the motive. He added a statement from a casual biker, who was photographed saying to Hami, “If you hadn’t spoken at the left’s demonstration, they wouldn’t have been looking for you in the slightest,” alluding to the involvement of Efi Neve, and brought the defendant’s wife to explain that there was “an order from above from someone who spun all the strings to destroy the the state”.

Parts of the puzzle that might have undermined the cleanliness of his hands – received minimal attention: for example, two minutes devoted to explaining why he recommended bringing to trial a woman with whom he said he had a sexual relationship. In the end, neither Hami nor Drucker convinced me that their version of the affair was the absolute truth. On the contrary, at the end of watching lawyers clash, smear and show off dubious and sleazy evidence, I feel dirty, battered and scratched like following rolling in a thorny bush. Does anyone know a laundromat that cleans the soul?
