The national government announced the increase of family allowances starting in March. The announcement indicates an update of 27.18% for the holders of these programs, among which the Pregnancy Allowance (AUE) and the Universal Child Allowance (AUH) stand out.

As indicated by the Ministry of Human Capital, the increase will have a direct impact, so the beneficiaries will already receive the allocation with the amount updated in April. The increase occurred through the mobility formula.

“With this increase, family and universal allowances increase 154 pct so far this year, versus an estimated accumulated inflation as of March of 50.2 pct. If we do the calculation since December, the increase is 207% versus an accumulated inflation of 88.5% in the same period,” said Luis Caputo, head of the Economy portfolio, in X.

In this way, the AUE and the AUH will become $52,554 for each child, the Government announced. For its part, the child allowance from the Suaf system (Single Family Allowance System) will be $26,274.59 starting in April.
