The 41-year-old actress said she always knew alcohol wasn’t a good friend in her life.

“I knew deep down that it wasn’t for me,” she told Vanity Fair, also admitting that she initially wondered if going full-on sobriety wasn’t too “extreme” either.

“It seemed so extreme to think, ‘But, like, nothing?’ No, nothing at all,” she continued.

He added: “If you are allergic to something or if you have an anaphylactic reaction to something, you don’t dispute it. So I stopped talking.”

The star of Misérables however, clarified that she makes no judgment on people who drink.
